Set in the remarkable landscape of the Côa Valley, and presented with Rewilding Portugal and the Côa Museum, this two-day gathering explores the past, present, and future of music culture. ACT IN SYNCH - CÔA Edition brings together artists, thinkers, and industry leaders to reflect on music’s original values - how history, technology, policy, and industry structures have shaped today’s ecosystem, what is thriving, what is fracturing, and what is quietly transforming beneath the surface.
Rewilding invites us back to the foundations of the industry: what defined it, what has been lost or reshaped, and the consequences of those shifts. At the same time, it looks ahead - imagining a healthier, more balanced music ecosystem that supports creativity and long-term sustainability. From AI and immersive tech to decentralized rights and new revenue models, we ask: What are we losing? What are we gaining?
Why CÔA?
The Côa Valley is home to some of the earliest known human carvings - humanity’s first marks declaring, “we were here.” It is also a landscape undergoing active restoration. This rare convergence of origin and renewal offers clarity and perspective - a place to pause, reassess, and thoughtfully shape what comes next for music, media, and culture.
